Decell Technologies Announces European Expansion at DEMO Germany 2007
Tel Aviv, October 16th, 2007 - Decell Technologies, the global leader in the provision of accurate real-time traffic information based on cellular floating car data, today announced its expansion into the European traffic information market at DEMO Germany 2007.
As the European market for personal navigation systems continues its double-digit growth, so do markets for supporting technologies like real-time traffic information. This tremendous growth is driven by falling prices but foremost by increased value added. According to a recent Goldman Sachs report, there are 4 major drivers adding significant value to traditional navigation systems: availability of accurate traffic information in real-time, existence of data on local points of information, greater ease of use including 3D graphics, and integration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
Decell's Autoroute-1 is the first commercially available solution for providing real-time traffic information based on the location of mobile phones. Compared to traditional systems, which measure vehicle traffic using road sensors, cameras, designated GPS probe surveillance, or human generated reports, Autoroute-1 provides accurate traffic information in real-time, obtained from a mobile operator’s existing infrastructure. A full coverage of an entire country including all highways, inter-city, and main inner-city roads is easily achieved at a very cost-effective way.
