Decell Technologies Partner at Deutsche Telekom Innovation Day -

Focus on Israel

Tel Aviv, October 29th, 2007 -Decell Technologies, the global leader in the provision of accurate real-time traffic information, today participated in Deutsche Telekom’s Innovation Day – Focus on Israel. The event took place in Deutsche Telekom’s Berlin Representative Office, Französische Straße 33a-c, 10117 Berlin, Germany.

For about one year, there have been more mobile phones in Germany than inhabitants. Many people cannot imagine living without this mobile communication centre anymore. But the mobile phone's development is still in its infancy.

"The mobile phone is more and more becoming an instrument for every day life," says Dr. Wolf Heine. "Soon people will say: by the way, you can use it for phone calls as well." This is what Dr. Heine, the T-System’s traffic expert and his team are working on. By providing convenient applications, they want to make the mobile phone a companion for mobile every day life. In the German city of Frankfurt for example, bus and tram riders buy their tickets virtually without having to stop.

The ticket purchasing system is part of T-System’s mobile portal through which mobile phone owners will be able to handle several everyday errands on the way: buying a parking ticket, planning the trip downtown, paying for tickets, navigating through the city, and making a last minute reservation at the movie theatre. "Through the mobile portal you should simply be able to take care of the things that occur on the way," says Heine, believing that the mobile phone could soon replace wallet and debit card.

Deutsche Telekom has long been in close cooperation with information and communications technology companies in Israel. The company has further expanded this cooperation with Israeli institutions and high-tech companies. The Innovation Day – Focus on Israel is an opportunity to present a number of innovative projects developed by Deutsche Telekom in cooperation with Israeli firms, which exhibit market potential for the future.

“Decell Technologies is very proud to have been selected by Deutsche Telekom out of more than 200 Israeli companies to start a joint cooperation program in the framework of The Mobile Portal,” said Jonathan Silverberg, President of Decell. “Over the past year, we have dedicated many resources to our project with Deutsche Telekom and have found the various groups within Deutsche Telekom that we work with to be highly professional and cooperative. We are looking forward to strengthening our collaboration and extend our activities also outside Germany.”

“Our mobile portal is designed to make mobile life easier for all of us” says Dr. Heine, Senior Consultant at T-Systems Business Services. He added that “together with Decell Technologies, we are making a significant step forward in this direction. Both companies can build a valuable unique selling proposition throughout Europe.”
