Decell Technologies together with Mirs and L.B. Motion to Launch Real Time Traffic Information Services
TEL AVIV, December 25, 2009 - Decell Technologies, the global leader in the provision of accurate real-time road traffic information, announced today the launch of "Traffic", a new traffic client application for Mirs' subscribers.
Mirs' new "Traffic" application was developed in cooperation with Decell and L.B. Motion. Using Swift-i™, Decell’s new generation of traffic information, Mirs will now be able to offer its subscribers traffic services with accuracy and detail levels that are second to none. Swift-i™ uses multiple sources and technologies to produce the most accurate and comprehensive road traffic information available today in Israel.
"Traffic" is a client application designed especially to fit Mirs' phones and is either preinstalled or available for download. The application allows Mirs' customers to define their personal journey preferences, such as preferred routes and times they would wish to be alerted on based on their location or relevant to their predefined route. The alerts include real time MMS messages of traffic maps or SMS messages with information about the exact congestion locations, delay time and event descriptions. Another option allows users to ask for the fastest route on a specific journey and receive real-time information for the requested route based on the current traffic conditions. The route can be displayed by either text or voice.
